History
The Cesky Terrier is a relatively new breed that was created in 1949 by crossing Sealyham and Scottish Terriers with the goal of creating a dog that could both go to the ground and hunt in an open field. This is a small dog that is muscular and slightly longer. Its coat is thick and silky.

Personality
The Cesky Terrier is an easy keeper: it is patient, gentle and good with children. It is very mild for a terrier. This breed does well with an individual or family and is adaptable to an apartment or rural life.

Bred For
Developed as a dog that is narrow enough to go down into dens and burrows to hunt rats and foxes.

Environment
The Cesky Terrier is a good dog for apartment life and these dogs will do okay without a yard.

Grooming
It will be very time consuming as this breed have several types of hair on the body, each requires different ways of grooming.

Training
This breed sheds little to no hair

Health
The Cesky Terrier dog breeds are known to be healthy dogs. Some lines of these terriers have higher risks of acquiring the Wobbly Scottie disease. It is also known as the Scottie Cramp Syndrome. This disease affects the dogs’ movements. It causes an awkward walking motion.

Exercise
Cesky Terriers are small dogs packed with huge energy levels! These shorty cuties are great jogging companions! They just enjoy running, playing and moving around big open spaces! Taking them on a walk every day is the minimum exercise requirement!
