Also, they are among the top hunting dogs and one of the most popular in Europe. The breed got its name from the area where it was first developed, the province of Brittany, France. Dog expert believes that this French gun dog is the result of crossing French spaniels with English Setters. The breed became popular in the United States in the 1930s and has remained one of the country’s most popular hunting dogs.

Personality

These dogs are good-natured and lively dogs that are trainable and intelligent, exuberant and active. In addition, they are friendly and love outdoor activities. They also have high energy levels! The French Brittany Spaniels are good family dogs but can be too exuberant for small children.

Environment

Grooming

Exercise

This breed is a breed with exceptional stamina and will need (they love it) vigorous exercise. Long and brisk daily walks or jogging are required! Therefore, if you don’t like to always be on the run, then this breed is just not for you!
