History
With English and French hound lineage, the Grand Anglo-Français Tricolore or Great Anglo-Francais Tricolour Hound is one of three Grand Anglo-Français dog breeds developed using scent hounds from both sides of the English Channel. They are large scent hounds that hunt in a pack and were created to track down large to medium game. Of the three variants, the Great Anglo-Francais Tricolour Hound is the lightest and the only variety that shows consistent three colored coatings. They are typical hound in appearance, lengthy legs, lengthy drop ears, and a long distinctive tail.

Personality
Grand Anglo-Français Blanc Tricolore is known to be good-natured. But their temperaments are not as well balanced as other hound breeds. These particular scent hounds are born hunters and their very high hunting instinct will often result in unwanted behavior towards humans and other animals. But besides this, they are known to be easy going and energetic. But not enough to be suitable for family pets.

Bred For
Developed to hunt large game animals and to hunt with the pack.

Environment
These hounds are not fit for apartment living conditions. They do not do well in the city as well. A rural area with a large space for them to roam is a must.

Grooming
Minimal grooming needed for their short straight coat.

Training
Bred to be pack hunters, they have a pack mentality and would be difficult to train if owners are not consistent and firm enough to be the pack leader.

Health
Grand Anglo-Français Blanc Tricolore hound dogs are known to be very healthy and show no common health problems which plague other scent hounds.

Exercise
Grand Anglo-Français Blanc Tricolore dogs are scent hound and pack hunters by nature. They demand and need lots and lots of vigorous activities to keep them well behaved.
