The Longhaired Bhagyari Kutta is one of two coat varieties of the Bhagyari Kutta herding breed that was originally bred in the South Asian region as herding dogs. These are the regions now covering most of Pakistan and portions of India. The breed’s precise date of origin unknown but they are believed to be several hundreds of years. They are dogs that somewhat resemble wolves, which is why they are called Bhagyari Kutta which roughly translates to Wolf-like dogs.

The Longhaired Bhagyari Kutta is a herding breed known to be very passionate workers and performers to their human family. They are impressive as herding dogs but also famous for their great skills as guard dogs.
