History

The Russian Toy Terrier is a small terrier-type dog breed that originates in Russia in the early part of the 20th century. There are two types of Russian Toy Terriers, the longhaired and smooth-haired variety. The Russian Longhaired Toy Terrier or also called the Moscow Longhaired Toy Terrier is the younger variety and was developed by Ms. Yevgueniya Fomonichna Zharova. These dogs were created to be pure companion dogs.

They are intelligent terriers that are agile, devoted and considered as a very hardy dog. Although small, the Russian Toy Terriers have this elegant stance and will be very active and lively.
