More about the shelter
Adopt A Stray is a foster care program. We do not have a shelter and all the pets have lived in our homes. We guide the public to low cost sterilization to prevent the number one cause of death which is overpopulation. We are dedicated volunteers who are passionate about the lives we save.
Application process with approval, fees for cats usually $75. and dogs usually $125.
About Fava
Distance: 1,409 Miles
Birthdate: 2009. 3,000 residents at a trailer park are informed that they need to be out. Some had nowhere to go. If they have nowhere to go, where do their pets go? Adopt A Stray came to their rescue.
Fava is a beautiful male kitty with a big boy head. He has remarkable markings (classic tabby and white, in swirls). He may look a little rough and tough, but has a very sweet demeanor. His meow sounds like it belongs to a little feminine kitty.
It took Fava awhile to learn what toys were, but he learned about food right away. He has decided that food is something he likes to get everyday. Fava would make a great pet especially if he was the only cat. Fava deserves, wants and will make a beautiful addition to your home.
Update: January 2019
Fava's foster mom says she will keep him forever if he doesn't get adopted. She says he is so sweet and special that she is happy to have him. The only reason she wouldn't keep him is if he found a home of his own and didn't have to live in a foster room. He would love to sleep in a bed and really be part of a family!!!
