About Roxie

Distance: 1,140 Miles
Roxie was originally a PRBJ dog and adopted when she was a puppy. Nine years later, we got a call that she was turned in to a high kill shelter with another PRBJ dog named Lana. The owner had told the shelter to euthanize them that she did not care. Thankfully, because of microchip technology, the shelter called us right away and we rushed to pick them up. Originally, we thought they were friends, but soon found out that Roxie likes to be on her own. She would be great in a house with someone who is more mature in age so that she can relax, take long naps, and watch tv. She walks good on a leash and takes it slow.  If you are interested in Roxie to either foster or adopt please fill out an online application for this sweet senior girl.     Dog for a day update:  I'm a mature lady looking for my forever hooman! I've been down this road before... when I was a puppy.   loved as hard as I could! I thought I did everything right.... but here I am again....hoping to lock eyes with my one and only.  Let me tell you a little about myself and what I dream my day may look like.....in the not so distant future. I LOVE to go on leisurely walks because I LOVE to sniff out new places, I LOVE a fenced backyard so I can have the freedom to run safely. I'm in my golden years so when I'm inside, I'm super chill. I like to listen to Jazz, spread out on a comfortable dog bed big enough for me, and relax with my people! I'm great at being your one and only dog, and I deserve all the attention at this point in my life!! I'm not kiddo friendly, I'm all about a mellow environment. The nice lady that took me out today helped me write all this:)  Will you pick up where she left off? Are you my forever hooman??   Waiting patiently, Roxie  ~~~
