There is a very good reason why this adorable, beautiful Shih Tzu has been at the rescue for over 4 years. Geoffrey David is a special boy, who needs a special person to call his own. His behavior suggests he was abused from a very early age. When he arrived, this young boy was very untrusting and a defensive biter. We have patiently and consistently shown him love, care, and compassion, and he has been watching the other dogs happily embrace human attention and petting for years. All said, Geoffrey David has made remarkable improvements in his behavior. He is now happy and relaxed, seeks attention and enjoys being petted. There is a sweetness in him coming through. He is very camera shy, but has even begun to allow some videos.             We believe the right person is out there for Geoffrey David, who has experience with a similar type of dog. They must be patient, calm, and understanding, and willing to give him the time he needs to trust. Geoffrey David has his limits and will give a warning snap/bite if pushed beyond his comfort zone. He currently does not want to be picked up, held, or go for leash walks, although this could change with time. He will need a fenced yard. Geoffrey David enjoys the company of other nice dogs, and gets along great with his group at the rescue. He is now about 9 years old and 14 pounds.
