This beautiful Maine Coon mix is TigBer (short for TigerBerry). He was surrendered to the shelter after his family could no longer care for him. When he came to us he was very sick with a bad upper respiratory infection, eye infection, and ear infection. After some TLC, this gentle giant is now looking and feeling his best! He LOVES affection, laps, and food, and will lay in the floor just rolling around tempting you to reach down and pet him. He took no time at all to feel at home in his foster home, and will no doubt feel right at home in your home too!  TigBer is 8 years young and is FIV-positive, but don't let that stop you from adopting this handsome hunk!  Tigber also has mild asthma which is currently being managed with a once daily prednisilone pill. FIV is a feline disease that is transmitted only between cats and only through deep bite wounds from an infected cat to a non-infected cat. This gentle giant currently lives very contentedly with non-FIV cats. Having FIV means that TigBer may be more susceptible to infections throughout his life, but his life expectancy is as long as any other housecat with proper care. We do not do adopt outside of the State of Maryland.
