More about the shelter
Lost Dogs Run was formed to promote fostering by individuals who find or have unwanted animals while they are being adopted. Depending upon funding, we provide food and medical assistance during the foster period which can last up to a year.
adoption references are needed and must pass a house visit showing a safe and loving environment for the animal, a one week pre-adoption stay at new home is used to determine compatibility, $150 adoption donation if the family can afford it, must have a fenced yard and pet must have access to the house, all 6 month and older animals being adopted must be fixed and house-trained prior to adoption.
About Marshall
Distance: 760 Miles
Marshall is an old red tick coonhound who has had a hard life. He is about 45 lbs and 10 years old. He is slowly recovering and came as a stray from the Valley River Humane Society as a hospice case on 12/30/21. At least he now has good food and a warm place in the Howling Wolf Cabin to spend his days. We are still trying to fatten him up. He was I think the most starved dog I have ever seen in my 20 years doing dog rescue. But slowly he is recovering.
