More about the shelter
K-9 Lifesavers, a 501c(3) non-profit organization, rescues homeless and abandoned dogs from high-kill shelters, owners who can no longer care for them, and other high-risk situations. K-9 Lifesavers works with dedicated volunteers, foster homes, local veterinarians, trainers, and kennels to provide loving temporary care while we find well-matched, carefully screened forever homes for each dog we take in. We also serve as a support group to our adopters and all dog owners by providing ongoing education and resources for the well-being of their dogs, including the importance of proactive spay/neuter policies, positive behavior training, and good nutrition.
Adoption Application, Interview, Vet Check, and Home Visit. Fees: Puppies 6 months and under: $350; Dogs 7 months to 9 years: $300; Dogs 10 years and over: $200.

DOG'S DESCRIPTION
Meet Bailey! This sweet girl is hoping to find a caring forever home where she can be spoiled rotten! She will need a bit of leash work, but she loves people and her tennis balls! Baily must be in a home as the only dog. Apartments, condos and dog parks for are not for this beautiful girl. She can't wait to find a loving adopter, so be ready for all those doggy kisses she’s saving just for you!
Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.
Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (at partner vet if not fixed before adoption), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets.
Foster Program: Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.
