Please understand we are ensuring that our babies go to great homes and we don't know you personally (yet). Understand that this is an adoption of a beautiful little soul that deserves the absolute best life. BUCCANEER was saved by an independent rescuer back in late 2016. He was a tiny kitten. Well fast forward to 8 months ago, the lady was killed by a drunk driver. We were asked to help with her rescues and to our dismay, her house was a horrific hoarding case.  We pulled 55 cats that were still alive. Our rescue took 26 of those cats into out rescue. BUCCANEER is the first one to be ready for adoption. BUCCANEER can be shy at first. He gets comfortable very quick and is curious about everything. He can get startled but will come back and investigate. He will then throw himself on the floor and demand attention. He is such a sweet love bug. All he wants is pets and love. Loves to play with his cat friends. He really loves to play with anything and makes you laugh with his silliness. He comes running when it's time to get his can food. His purr box is very loud. He's looking for his REAL FUREVER home.  BUCCANEER is a DOMESTIC SHORT HAIR / ABYSSINIAN TABBY MIX. He is 6 years old and is good with cats and lived with dogs. He has never been around children. BUCCANEER is currently located at our rescue in Hemet, California. ADOPTION PROCESS: 1. Go to Workinwhiskers.com (Click on ADOPT) 2. Fill Out Online Form 3. Submit Online Application 4. Someone Will Call / Text to Do Phone Interview 5. Will be notified of Approved Application 6. Home Visit (WILL BE SCHEDULED) 7. Official Meet and Greet with Kitty 8. Sign Adoption Contract 9. Pay Adoption Fee (VENMO - ZELLE - PAYPAL or CASH) 10. Take the Kitty Home ************************ NO OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS *********************** APRIL 2023:   VOLUNTEERS are the only ones allowed to let you meet the kitty. Not PETSMART employees.   Volunteers are usually at PetSmart between 9  am to 1 pm for cleaning. The cats currently at PETSMART you are allowed to go visit.  A good time to come visit is at 4 pm - 9 pm. They are only there in the evening for 3 hours so please call the PetSmart location or visit the cattery for VISITING HOURS. Most days are different 3 hour shifts. It's based on volunteer availability. The kitties at a foster/rescue homes, we will accommodate as much as possible. But steps 1-6 of the ADOPTION PROCESS need to be done before we do OFFICIAL MEET & GREETS. It is easier to do the meet and greets at the locations listed below. PETSMART  in Murrieta, California off Madison Avenue in Hemet, California off Florida Avenue in Palm Desert, California off Monterey Avenue The crazy rescue mama will drive kitties to their new home, meet & greets, etc...once the adoption interview and home check have been done.. Gas donations always appreciated! ********** PLEASE NO CALLS. NO ONE IS AVAILABLE TO TAKE CALLS ********** If the CAT/KITTEN is still listed (meaning here or other websites) they are still available. It does not mean they don't have other pending applications or meet and greets. Please note: Just because you fill out an application and are approved does not obligate you to adopt the cat/kitten. If he or she is not a fit...we have plenty of other cats / kittens available for adoption. We are a SMALL rescue based out of Hemet, California. We are all volunteers that run the rescue. The adoption fee of $200 covers:  Neuter FVRCP shots RABIES shot FELV/FIV test (Negative/Negative) Drontal Dewormer Stronghold Flea Control Microchip We are NOT a government FUNDED shelter and all our donations and adoption fees are for our rescued cats/kittens.
