About Uno

Distance: 1,551 Miles
Uno came to us when her owner passed away, leaving this 1-year-old kitten alone in her home. Our rescue's mission is to assist terminally ill people with finding new families for their pets so we quickly got her into a foster home.  Uno was dealing with the death of her owner and had never left her original owner's house, she was pretty scared when she first arrived in her foster home. She had to get used the noise and movements of a regular household, and every day she gains more confidence in her world. She is blossoming into an amazing cat. In all senses of the word, Uno is still a kitten. She is a small cat and still has kitten energy. She loves to play with toys - especially her feathered mice. She is quite talented and can catch a toy ball with her back paws and even jumps and catches it in the air like a dog. She loves to play at night, so we do hear her up and about playing with her toys. She does more playing than cuddling but settles in for an evening cuddle and cat nap with her favorite human. She also enjoys being in the same room as her humans, even if it is not in a lap. Although she has never lived with dogs before, she peacefully coexists with two elderly chihuahuas. She had never encountered a dog prior to arriving in her foster home and at first, puffed up her fur and was very afraid. Gradually, she gained the courage to sniff them and pounce at them in play. They basically ignore her, which I think she appreciates. She has great litter box habits and thoroughly buries her potty. She is fixed, microchipped, and current on vaccinations. Although she isn't declawed, we put a scratching post next to the couch, and she uses the post diligently.  Questions?
