More about the shelter
We are a rescue organization focused on connecting homeless cats to their forever home. We rescue cats from the local shelter and community. For thos cats that require medical attention or socialization we have foster homes where we place the cats until they are healthy or socialized to the point where they can be adopted. We also take healthy cats directly to our cat lounge where they are available for adoption. We do this because we do not want to see any cat linger in the shelter or on the streets when we can help them find a loving home.
Cats are met via a foster home visit, a visit to the adoption lounge or via social media. An application for the animal is submitted for reivew. The potential adopter will be contacted to discuss the particular animal they have chosen to determine if the match is appropriate.
If approved the adopter pays an adoption fee (Adult Cat $130/Senior Cat (over 10) $80. An adoption agreement is completed by the adopter. We deliver the cat to the household. We send a medical summary to the adopter once the paperwork has been finalized.

Distance: 1,529 Miles
Artemis
was rescued from a homeless encampment when he was about one year old, along with his brothers and parents. He was born outside and socialized by a homeless woman, whom the cats slept with, in her tent. Like many cats,
Artemis
can be a bit shy with new people and places, but once he's comfortable he's super sweet and loves pets and attention.
Artemis
has a beautiful tuxedo coat with medium to long hair and he has longer hair in his ears like a Maine Coon. His dad is a Maine Coon Mix and mom is a petite black kitty.
Artemis
loves to play with other cats and would enjoy another cat to live with, or a human who's home a good amount of the time. He likes companionship and talks a lot.
Artemis
would probably do well with dogs or other animals as well. He's a sweet boy and would be a great addition to someone's home.
Artemis
did have urinary crystals in the past and is on a special diet to prevent them, so he would need to stay on this diet or a similar one to prevent a urinary blockage. Someone who's familiar with this issue would be ideal. Otherwise,
Artemis
is a healthy, affectionate, happy boy who's neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, defleaed, microchipped, and tested negative for FIV and FeLV.
Artemis is being cared for by a member of the community. To arrange to meet this cat or find out more, email us at courtesy@thedancingcat.org.
