More about the shelter
Save a Stray is a new group of old hats. We are determined to enrich the lives of the shelter pets of Mobile through spay/neuter programs, shelter medicine, and training classes. Spay/neuter progams are offered to decrease the number of pets entering our shelters. Shelter medicine will be provided for pets in our shelters so healthier pets are adopted or pulled by rescue groups. We hope to increase pet adoptions and the chances of that pet becoming a family member through training classes with shelter pets and at risk youth groups.
application, interview, possible home check, adoption contract if approved, Save a Stray will rehome if needed
About Stripes (2023)
Distance: 1,368 Miles
Meet stripes!
Stripes had a rough start in life. He was found with an owner who neglected him. He was filthy and not allowed to get out and play. This sweet boy is very grateful for a yard to play in, clean place to sleep, food, and lots of petting and love from his foster mom.
Stripes loves playing with furry toys and other dogs and they have helped him
build his confidence
.
When he isn't playing with another dog he wants to be close to his human.
Stripes is a laid back guy who loves nothing more than a cozy bed, belly rubs and human snuggles.
He can be shy at first but warms up and is very loving.
Stripes has been around a 3 y/o child and did well but was a bit skittish of kid activity. Therefore, we believe Stripes would be more comfortable with older kids.
He is housetrained but finds comfort in his kennel so he kennels well to eat, sleep, and if foster mom needs to work
for a few hours.
Stripes loves car rides and does well just in the car uncrated.
He
would love an owner to go on adventures with and enjoy life together which will
help him continue to build his confidence.
.
