More about the shelter
Our goal is to fight for the plight of all companion animals so that none of them will ever
have to experience the horrors of being imprisoned in a pound system, where most of them are executed for the “crime” of being unwanted and homeless.
Animals entering our sanctuary will be given exceptional loving care and all the necessary medical attention whether short term, until adopted or for their lifetimes.
The survival of the sanctuary depends entirely on the support and donations from supporters, members and volunteers.
Through their generous giving we will be able to save countless lives in the future.
After someone has found a pet of her or his liking on our site and contacted us we will make sure to get back to that person as soon as possible.
We require a potential adopter to fill out an application.
If the application is satisfactory we will contact the prospective new parent to set up a time to meet with the pet. We also do home checks to make sure that the house or apartment the pet will go to is safe. The pet will be brought to your home at the time of the home check and if everything looks goes well the pet will be left with you. We are asking for an adoption fee and we also will have you sign a contract.
We allow a two week trial period during which the money will be refunded if it turnes out to not be a match. After the two week period the adoption fee is not refundable.
About Luke
Distance: 3,739 Miles
Over 6 years ago Paw Parent rescued Luke from a Los Angeles shelter just in the nick of time. Poor thing was put on the "red list" due to overcrowding. He was adopted a few months later but unfortunately has just returned to Paw Parent due to the death of his new parent. He is about 14 years old now and weighs about 12 pounds. He is so beautiful and regal looking and so very gentle and sweet. He takes his time getting to know you but has warmed up wonderfully and enjoys being scratched and petted and loves to have a conversation with you. He settled in harmoniously with all the other cats and has no issues with the litter box. He acts as a father to all the young cats and they love to snuggle with him while he gives them a good cleaning. He loves his companion Oscar who was adopted out with him 6 years ago and also returned to Paw Parent. He has all his shots, tested negative for cat leukemia and FIV, is neutered and has a microchip. Please call 661-724-0642 if you want to meet him. Thank you!
