Sometimes we have a real hard time when a cat is returned to our shelter, especially since if it is the second time.  Doc came to us in 2011 as his owner was unable to care for him, but he was happily adopted shortly thereafter by a wonderful gentleman who adored him for 9 years.  Unfortunately, Doc's dad became very ill and he ended up coming back to us just recently.  Doc is now 13 and we feel sad that he is at a shelter again,  but he has been rolling with the punches, and he and all of us are hoping that there is someone who wants to welcome him into their home during his senior years.  He may be 13, but he has the spirit and lust for life as a youngster with his playful personality.  He is full of fun but sometimes has a mind of his own and can be a little feisty - he would do best in an adult home - no children or other cats - he wants you all to himself.  Doc is very healthy but his kidney values are on the higher side which is common for a 13 year old cat but he is doing well, does not need prescription food or any kind of medication, and he has probably a few good years ahead of him.  Let's find this sweet and good boy a home.  As we are closed for adoptions to the public, we are doing adoptions with appointments so, if you have an interest in our special boy, please fill out an adoption application on our website - metrowesthumanesociety.org - under Adoptions and forward to us at mwhspaw@yahoo.com.
