About Apollo

Distance: 1,552 Miles
Approx. DOB: 12/1/2007                    Approx. Weight:65 $100 adoption fee includes a 2 week trial to ensure everyone's happiness! Apollo has been with us for a while now at Furry Kids, it’s prime time he find the home he deserves.  Apollo was adopted as a puppy from us but returned because he wasn’t getting along with a new dog.  We don’t exactly know the circumstances but we can tell you what we know now.  He’s awesome.  What an incredibly sweet, loyal, loving dog that just wants a human to call his own.     We took Apollo in to foster recently and can tell you that he instantly bonded and instantly and incessantly smiles.  As his foster mom no matter where I am he is by my side or at my feet.  And If you do right by him, he will follow you wherever you go and will not loose sight of you.  He is a happy guy who needs that forever home where he can always feel secure and loved.     He has many foster brothers and sisters and does fine with everyone though he does attach to a human very quickly so you have to watch for his possessiveness.  If he were to be an only dog it’d be ideal but he is great with 7 brothers and sisters!  He just needs to be fed by himself and kept away from food aggression situations and maybe other dogs who are high-energy or have an aggressive or possessive tendency.     Apollo loves to be hugged.  He loves an adventure outside.  He loves a comfy dog bed.  Basically anything, Apollo loves!  He will be loyal to you forever if you give him those things, that’s a given.  As a little bonus, he’s house trained!  He’s currently learning a dog door but he’ll wait for you.   Seniors make the most excellent companions if you have a low-key lifestyle.  Please consider a senior in your search for your forever friend.  We have not had him around children but I can’t imagine he wouldn’t love older children, just mind his food possessiveness.  Please give Apollo a chance, he’s well past the chewing, potty-training, destructiveness, etc…age so all you get to enjoy are his beautiful eyes and personality…and hey, he knows how to sit :)   Apollo has been neutered, vaccinated, heartworm tested negative, wormed and microchipped.  If you are interested in adopting him, please complete the adoption application located at www.furrykidsrefuge.org/adoptadog and a dedicated volunteer will get back to you as soon as possible.
