WARM is a no-kill, non-profit 501(c)(3)rescue organization based in Conway, SC. We rescue stray, abandoned and abused animals and try to place them with new guardians. Animals are spayed/neutered, heartworm tested, vaccinated and have all preventatives before being placed in their new home. WARM rescues not only cats and dots, but also wildlife and farm animals. WARM houses between 300-400 animals year round. If animals are not placed in new homes, they live out their lives at the WARM farm - no animal is ever euthanized unless it is sick and cannot be cured and is no longer happy being alive. Farm animals are adopted out to small farms and wildlife is returned to the wild once rehabilitated - away from human habitation and hunting areas.
Prospective guardian must fill out adoption application and have an interview and visit with the animal. Then there is a 48-hour wait period. Application is checked out with veterinarians and references. There is a home visit. Fees vary depending on breed and age of animals being adopted.
About Oscar
Distance: 544 Miles
I'm Oscar. I was born outdoors to a stray Mom and was brought to WARM as a kitten. I was very shy of people for a long time and I am still slow to trust, but once we get to know each other, I’m super friendly and I’ll make a wonderful companion for you. I’ve been told that because of my sweet personality, I’m real easy to love. So, just take your time with me and we’ll have a great life together. And if you have another feline in your household, don’t worry, other cats don't bother me in the least. I’m very friendly. I’ve been at WARM for a long time and I really love all the volunteers here – but I’m not getting any younger and I would really love to have a home and family to call my own. But please remember that you will need to be patient with me – I’ll need a little time getting used to my new surroundings after living at WARM for so long. Do you have room in your home and heart for a senior cat?DOB - June, 2011If interested in meeting Oscar, please message on facebook (Waccamaw Animal Rescue Mission - WARM) or email WARMadoptions@gmail.com for an appointment.
