About Peppermint Patty - Loving senior lap cat!

Distance: 223 Miles
What's dark on the outside, white on the inside, and sweet all the way through? A Peppermint Patty, of course. Patty is a very loving, affectionate senior who often rubs up against her foster mom, sits on her lap, or sits next to her when she's not relaxing in a cat tree. She's very socialable and is usually the first in line to greet her foster mom. She's a large gal who's gentle and never bites, nips, or scratches. It took her a few weeks to settle into her foster home, with some growling and hissing, but she's now okay with the other cats. She lived with a cat in her former home.If you're concerned about your pet outliving you, seniors can be a wonderful choice that can give you peace of mind. While people worry about the possible medical bills that come with an older cat, the fact is you never know what to expect when you take any pet into your home. And Patty, who's about 9 years old, is in very good health (she could lose a few pounds!) based on an exam and senior blood work that was done when she came back to Castaway Critters. Patty was adopted 8 years ago and was returned after the husband died and the wife developed dementia. (The last photo below came from her original web page when she was a young cat.) She's spayed, current on her shots, and microchipped and has tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV.
