About Leopold Buddy

Distance: 630 Miles
Date into Rescue: Originally 06/08/2013. Came back to CPR on 05/12/2019, adopted and came back again 1/17/20 due to health of new owner. Poor guy can't catch a break Reason for being in rescue: Leo was originally found as a stray and landed at a shelter matted and thin. CPR pulled him from the local shelter, got him healthy, and he was adopted by a loving family. Sadly, life changed and major health challenges forced Leo's family to surrender him back to CPR.  He was placed again in May of 2019 and came back in January of 2020 again due to health challenges with his new owner.   Foster location: Dreamweaver Farms in Pacolet, SC Special Needs? None noted Weight: 22 lbs Height: 12 in Spayed/Neutered: Yes Adoption Fee: $200 Fence needed? No What kind of home would be best for me? Leo is a lap dog. He wants a home with a family where someone will take him for daily walks and give him lots of snuggles. Leo has been the only dog for the past several years and would love to find a home where he will once again be the king of the castle.   What is my personality like? Leo is such a sweet, affectionate little man! He is curious, playful and gentle. He gets along with most dogs his size or larger and all humans, and loves to be around both. He will play for hours with tennis balls, rope toys or stuffed toys.  However no cats please!   He is crate trained and rides well in the car. He is intelligent and willing to please. Leo has a moderate energy level, and knows when it is time to be calm- He loves to lay in your lap or beside you on the couch! How do I act when I first meet new people? Friendly.  Other tips and tidbits: Estimated Birthdate: 6/1/2008.  The photo on the red couch is from 2013 when Leo was first with us.  The newer photos are recent.  He obviously put his weight back on and has maintained it beautifully. He's a gorgeous dog.   House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained.  A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.
