About Jeremy

Distance: 3,709 Miles
UPDATE- Jeremy is fully healed and READY TO FIND HIS FOREVER HOME. He is a pretty chill guy but he loved to romp and play and race around the room with his foster sibling. Boy does he love to play with his friends but he also enjoys lounging. He is on a sensitive stomach diet and he seems to be doing really well so we recommend he stay on this food for a while at least. He has been through so much and so deserving of a home where he can be loved.. UPDATE 5/5/19-  Jeremy is thriving and doing amazingly well in his foster home. Most if not all of his fur has grown back, he has gained some weight too. He seems happy and is very playful and social with the other kitty he is staying with in his foster home. They are reported to be heard romping and wrestling and playing.... He is on a sensitive stomach diet as he does throw up occassionally, but due to him being active, happy and eating well we are just monitoring that for now. Heartbreaking story....We rescued Jeremy almost 4 years ago from the Hesperia. Shortly after his rescue he found what we had hoped was his forever home. Fast forward to this week, February 2019. We received a  Call from a local shelter that somebody was trying to turned him in as an owner surrender. After some investigation we come to find out that the person we adopted the cat to suffers from severe dementia and had to go into a assisted living facility.  Her power of attorney subsequently relinquished Jeremy to another local group not having our paperwork to know where Jeremy came from. After some further investigation we found the group who had him, contacted them and worked to get him back into our care. We are committed to all the animals we rescue and always take them back. Sadly Jeremy is in pretty rough shape. He is skinny, covered in fleas and has alot of hair loss which we believe is due to severe flea dermatitis. While we understand dementia is a serious illness and are so sorry for his owner it heartbreaking to us that this poor woman clearly had no family, friends or neighbors checking on her to know she needed help. And we are sad for our  boy Jeremy who has clearly been neglected. We are working with our vet to get Jeremy in good health and will find him the forever home he deserves. Despite all he has been through,  and while we will never know we can only imagine, he is still a love. Purring,  making biscuits and just wants love. Stay tuned and we will keep you updated on his care and progress.  LOCATION- FOSTER HOME Visit http://greatpets.org/cat-adoption-application for an online application Jeremy's $150 adoption fee includes: includes vet exam, spay/neuter, microchip, flea treatment, and current vaccinations, and helps to defray the costs of medical care, supplies, and boarding while the animals are in our care.
